Thalassa

When you first approach Lepeda beach, you’ll quickly realise you’ve chosen somewhere very special for your holiday. Thalassa is located at the end of a dead-end road, in small group of houses, in between a private Greek Church and a sand-between-the-toes taverna on the beach. This house offers the perfect base for a secludedholiday with some of the best views on the peninsula.

As you enter the gate to the property, you’re treated to a peek-through view of the sea on the other side of this gorgeous home. You access the front door via a shady covered area, where you can take your morning coffee. You can also access the terrace and steps to the beach from this area, where the owners have installed a shady beach umbrella for your private use.

Entering the house, you immediately find yourself in the open-plan sitting area, which has pocket doors opening onto the large terrace overlooking the water - creating a versatile and welcoming space. The sun rises directly facing this large widow, filling the terrace and sitting room with glorious morning sunshine – perfect for a spot of yoga for those early risers!This light-filled space, decorated with the owner’s art, also has a large, comfortable sofa for rest and relaxation.

The well-equipped kitchen is in the far corner of this open-plan space – housing a large fridge / freezer, oven, hob and all the essential equipment for your stay. Not that we think you’ll spend much time cooking! There is a small table seating 4 in this area – with the main dining area on the external covered terrace with the large table seating 8.

Down the tiledinternal staircase you’ll find three cool bedrooms; one with 2 twin beds, and the others each with a king-sized bed. Both king-sized rooms have sliding glass doors that open to the lower terrace, while the twin room has a generous window to the garden. The family shower room is situated from the main downstairs hallway, also home to the washing machine, and there is another shower room en-suite to the master bedroom.

Spend your days sunning yourself on the beach, sipping a cool beer at the taverna merely steps away, or stroll the short distance to Lixouri to explore the shops or take the ferry to Argostoli. This is a holiday home that makes memories.

Note – due to the tiled terracing and internal and external stairs we don’t recommend this home for people with limited mobility or very young children.
