Euphoria

As you drive past mature olive trees on the approach to Euphoria, you’ll realise you’re heading somewhere pretty special. The small lane snakes between the trees, through the gates and behind the house to the private driveway and parking area. Its only when you enter the property that you’re hit with the stunning views across the Gulf and to the mountains of Kefalonia beyond.

Through the front door, you enter directly into the single-storey living area; a light-filled, airy space with comfy sofas under a high-beamed ceiling. The open-plan living area includes a contemporary fitted kitchen and a spacious dining table for 6. This entire villa is situation on one floor, with spacious doorways; ideal for those with limited mobility.

Decorated in muted colours and accented with pale wood on the inside, your eyes are immediately taken to the panoramic view outside the sliding glass wall, overlooking the pool, the ocean, and the mountains beyond. Inside merges into outside, with a shady sofa area just outside on the covered patio – an easy transition to make with your morning coffee of evening sundowner!

Separated from the living area by a door, the bedrooms are all accessible from a central hallway running the length of the house. The master bedroom, with en-suite shower room, houses a king-sized bed and has a glorious view across the water. A second king-sized bedroom and a twin room also benefit from the same fantastic views; what a way to wake up!

The large, family shower room is on the other side of the same hallway and also houses the washing machine.

A large, flat grassy lawn surrounds the house and leads to the olive groves beyond. To the side, the house has an outside food prep area, and a covered outside dining area, with table, chairs and built-in sofas seating up to 10, where you can while away the hours after a delicious home-cooked meal.

But the star of the show must be the generous infinity pool that lies on the border of the garden, overlooking the views beyond. Combined with the sunloungers around the pool, you’re spoiled for choice at Euphoria when looking for somewhere to relax and read your book!

And if you don’t want to cook at home, the popular Apolafsi hotel and taverna is merely steps away, with a further traditional taverna and grill on the beach in Lepeda – about 1 km. And in the other direction, again about 1km, you have Lixouri town with its many restaurants, cafes, ice-cream bars and all the other amenities you would expect.

This is a stunning villa, where you’ll make memories for years to come.
